Meet buttercup
We adopted Buttercup in 2023. She is a loving, sweet girl, but she is very anxious. We have consulted trainers, given her Prozac to help ease her anxiety, but ultimately the problem is we have a young son and when Buttercup feels threatened or protective, she wants to lash out and bite. This behavior has only ever been towards strangers - she adores our son and is very good with him, but I can honestly say I don't feel good about other kids she doesn't know. She has never bitten anyone with us, but we have taken precautions. We want her to be in an environment where she can be less anxious (less noise and activity, and where she can get a lot of individual attention). We love her, but we can't give her what she needs to be safe.
