Meet this sweet girl!
Maeve was found in the middle of Hwy 50 (Union up the hill going by Walmart) after being hit by a vehicle. A police officer from UPD found her and rushed her to VSS in the middle of the night. She had fluid in her belly and it had to be drained to relieve pressure from her chest so she can breathe better. Upon X-rays she was found to have Brachial Plexus Avulsion (her nerve in her right leg detached from the bone and muscle). Unfortunately I have not seen any progress with the leg returning to normal function and it keeps knuckling if she tries to use it. Queen Maeve currently is on pred and BNT for a pretty nasty ear infection. Due to that she won’t be able to be adopted until after 7/12 as she is pending that leg amputation and spay. HOWEVER, she can go into a foster to adopt home until then. (If you call the shelter while I’m there I would be more than happy to explain what that is 💕) Now the funny facts ❤️‍🩹Maeve was found by a very sweet lady….. beautiful 3 year old Maeve was also found with her 🤯 11…. Read that again 11 puppies. More than likely this is not her first litter. Probably 3-4. Let that sink in….. 3 years old and having 3-4 litters. ⚽️ 🧸 Maeve loves toys….. I think she will be a fetch girl once she gets more comfortable with 3 legs.🐓 Has shown that she may not be the best with free range chicken but she is very easy to correct and will move on from them. 🐈 will respect cats but does show interest in wanting to chase BUT she lets some of my cats rub against her and I think she can coexist with cats very easy as long as boundaries are set in the home. 🐕 will respect and gives corrections properly. My dogs are very respectful with other dogs and take corrections well. I also have one of her puppies with me at home and she loves to play with her. I think she would play well with other adult dogs once she is comfortable with them and they can respect boundaries. I do kennel her during the day. She has busted out but she doesn’t get into anything nor tear anything up. I fixed her kennel with zip ties and she’s good now. Queen Maeve also goes by momma and mommé (gotta say it a little fancy 😂) Maeve is a shadow and follows me around the house. She gets very excited when I get home and ready for love, snuggles and attention.
Maeve does wonderful with my kids and is gentle with them especially my 5 month old. I have kiddos from age 5 months-9 years.
Maeve is incredibly intelligent and a quick learner. She will be dedicated to her people/person.
