Meet presidential litter - james madison
Meet James Madison
James Madison is a sweet little soul who has clearly been through more than any dog should. Right now, he is very shut down and fighting to keep his eyes. He has painful ulcers, and our vet team, along with Lucky Paws Rescue, is working hard to save at least one of his eyes.
James Madison was loved by his family, but due to heartbreaking circumstances, they were no longer able to care for him. He came to us needing help, comfort, and a fresh start.
He is now clean, flea-free, and will be heading to the groomer as soon as possible. We cannot wait to share his “after” because we are praying that once he gets a good haircut, nail trim, and some relief, he will start to feel like himself again.
Even with everything he is going through, James Madison is already showing us his soft side. He is a sweet boy and has even started giving kisses. That tells us his little heart is still open — he just needs time, patience, and a safe place to land.
James Madison needs a quiet foster home willing to let him decompress and move at his own pace. He does not need chaos, pressure, or a busy environment right now. He needs gentle hands, soft voices, and someone who understands that healing does not happen overnight.
This boy is worth it. He just needs someone willing to help him believe that life is going to be good again.
