Meet lucas
Lucas is a 9-year-old Lab/Shepherd/Hound mix with soulful eyes, a huge heart, and the best smile you'll ever see. I adopted him after the passing of a close friend, and he's been my loyal companion ever since.
He loves car rides, wading in rivers and lakes, good food, and being close to his people. He's an expert footstool, pillow, and road-trip buddy. When he needs to go outside, he'll quietly give you "the death stare" until you get the message.
Lucas is great with his home-team dogs and loves wrestling with his sister Dolly, but he needs slow introductions and can be reactive around unfamiliar dogs. He walks well on a harness but may pull if other dogs are nearby.
We used to call him Eeyore because of his wise, soulful eyes, but these days you'll often catch him grinning ear to ear. This is a heartbreaking decision, and I'm looking for a patient, loving home where Lucas can enjoy the stability and companionship he deserves.
