Meet astro
Look at this handsome boy with his beautiful coat and soulful eyes! He is Astro and is listed as a Catahoula Leopard/American Staffordshire terrier mix. He is 51 pounds and 3 years of age. He was brought to the Mesquite Shelter as a stray on 6/15. This adorable fellow walks very nicely on a leash. He may be house trained as he did his business as soon as he arrived in the yard. He knows the sit command and will do so for treats which he takes quite nicely. He has a low-key chill personality. Astro is well-mannered, calm, gentle, and absolutely precious! He is friendly and had no issues with me petting him. Currently he is RESCUE ONLY due to his low body condition score and limping on his back right leg. Staff is monitoring his leg to see if it is something minor that will heal on its own. I’m so impressed with his sweet tempered nature and you would be too if you spent any amount of time with him!
