Let me introduce you Toot Toot!! This girl truly has a heart of gold. She is so sweet. She came to stay with us a few months ago and was terrified of the world. She would freeze and pancake flat on the floor at anything and everything. Doing her best to hide and make herself small. Walks at the park were constant stopping and freezing to cautiously watch people go past from a safe distance. Tail tucked the whole time. So scared. Stranger danger!she has gotten MUCH better. So much better. No stopping and freezing when we meet people on the trail. She walks beautifully on the leash. However, she is still not super confident on leash walks and usually waits until we get home to potty. So a fenced in backyard is a must for this sweetie. She is crate trained and uses the bathroom outside fine. No issues there. She adores my beagle boy (and all my cats!). Tootie has really blossomed into the playful, loving girl she was meant to be. She will definitely need a home with another dog to play with and to boost her confidence. She LOVES other dogs. She does excellent at doggy day care and is very cat friendly. That said, she does have behaviors we are still working on. She gets super excited when I get home and will jump on me like a crazy thing for a few minutes. Note: she does not act crazy with my husband. She's still a bit skittish with him. And she does not particularly like strangers in the house. She is not aggressive but sudden movements scare her and she will bark, which tends to make people nervous. She is happier in her crate when we have visitors. But I cannot reiterate how much I enjoy having her around. She has so much love to give.
