I adopted my dog roughly 7 years ago, and he has been a loyal companion throughout many life changes. He is an affectionate, intelligent, and playful pit bull who enjoys being around his people and loves attention. He is food-motivated, enjoys treats, and has a big personality that can be very entertaining.As my family circumstances have changed, I have realized that I can no longer provide the environment that will allow him to thrive. He would do best with an experienced owner who understands dog body language and is willing to continue working with him. He can become fearful in certain situations and has a history of fear-based nipping, so he needs a home that can provide structure, consistency, and appropriate boundaries.Because of his size, play style, and sensitivity, I believe he would do best in a home with older children who understand how to interact respectfully with dogs. A home without toddlers or very young children would be ideal.
