Chubs is the definition of resilience wrapped in a soft, gentle soul.
She was rescued just hours from euthanasia when an overwhelmed shelter—bursting at the seams—didn’t have the time or resources to help her recover from kennel cough and K9 influenza. Weak, exhausted, and emotionally shut down, Chubs had spent her life being used as a breeding dog. By the time she landed on the euthanasia list, she had lost not only her health, but her faith.
I pulled her from the shelter and placed her into strict quarantine, where the real work began. For three long weeks, Chubs fought her way back—not just physically, but emotionally. Little by little, she started to eat. Then she started to wag. Then one day… she chose life again.
Today, Chubs is fully healed and ready for her second chapter.
She is a devoted, people-loving girl who wants
nothing more than to be your shadow. Whether it’s a quick errand to the store or a long ride
