- May prefer to explore and do his own thing here in the shelter, but will likely open up more once he's in a home environment and has had time to decompress - Loves toys, playing tug, rolling in dirt and going on hikes - Will come around to say hi, and especially likes it if you have treats - Previous family said he knows sit, stay, lay down and shake - Does best with a harness on walks - Loved water but was not a fan of baths in his previous home - Was mostly potty trained in his previous home but occasionally had accidents; may need some patience from his new family to get all the way there - Young, noisy or busy children can make him uncomfortable and he's also not a fan of loud noises; would benefit from a more mature home where all family members are old enough to understand when he needs some space- Can be socially awkward around other dogs but may enjoy like-minded dog friends (dog intro recommended) - Has lived with cats The ARL's shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed.
