Meet Greyson! After this guy lost a battle with a stray cat, his family surrendered him to our care to get the treatment he needed to recover. His face may have been swollen once, but Greyson is happy to report he is SO BACK now! Don't be alarmed if you see a couple of scabs, they will fall off as Greyson continues to recover. Obviously, not a cat guy. Greyson did live with a female dog in his previous home who he loved very much, so could potentially be okay living with another dog if provided with a VERY slow introduction. In the shelter, Greyson has shown some kennel reactivity so would likely need a long period of decompression before being able to successfully meet another dog in a home environment. Greyson does show social behavior on the leash towards other dogs... anything is possible! Greyson is reported to very much enjoy car rides and playing fetch. He also lived with kids as young as five in his previous home and loved playing with them. Since he is still working on manners, dog experienced kiddos would likely be the best fit. Greyson is still working on potty and crate training and would love to go to a home that offers him plenty of structure and would provide him the necessary skills to go far in life. Greyson is definitely a big, enthusiastic guy on a mission to love everyone but will need some work so he is not pulling his handlers down and knocking people over in the process. At the end of the day this guy is a big ball of love looking to lick his wounds (and learn new skills) with a loving family.
