Meet rosa lee

Pet Location: Rosa Lee is living in a foster home. If you’d like to schedule a time to meet her, please contact Wayside Adoptions at (816) 986-4426. My Friends at Wayside say: - I am from a puppy mill situation. I will likely need extra time to adjust to home life. I have lived with other dogs but have not socialized with people until recently. Things like walking on a leash and going through doorways can be challenging for me. Adopting me will be extremely rewarding, but I need time to learn. - I’m a shy dog and need someone willing to be patient with me.- I have displayed some touch sensitivities. Ask our staff for more info! My home needs are: - I must go to a home that already has another dog so they can show me the ropes and build my confidence. - I must meet other dogs in the home before adoption to ensure that we can be buddies. - A fenced yard is a must for me! I’m still learning leash skills, and I will need a secure area to go out for potty breaks. - I need a home with kids 6 years old and older since I tend to be nervous around new people and loud noises. - If you have kids in the home between 6 and 9 years old, I will need to meet them since I can be nervous around new people and loud noises.Hi there, I’m Rosa Lee! I’m a sweet and shy little gal, just trying to figure out my way in this big world that I’ve recently discovered. It can be really scary at times, so I hope you’ll stay patient and calm with me. There is just so much about life that I’ve never experienced, so much to learn, so much lost time to make up for. It kinda feels overwhelming at times. But with your help, I’ll live a happy and carefree life…the kind all dogs deserve. I’m a darling, 6-year-old, 10-pound Bichon Frise mix, with soft fur that will need regular grooming, the cutest little face, and an unassuming, timid, lovely personality. I’m partially housebroken, too, if you keep me on a schedule, but please stay patient with me as I settle in and learn my new routine. An adjustment period is normal and to be expected. I spent 6 long years of my life as a puppy mill dog. It was an awful life, full of neglect and loneliness. It was all I ever knew, though, so even getting rescued felt terrifying. I found safety and vet care at Wayside. Still, it was a confusing and scary time. Lucky for me, Foster Mom noticed that I was struggling, so she took me home to introduce me to a whole new life as part of a family
