Meet barbie
*PLEASE READ ENTIRE BIO. THIS IS A FERAL DOG* Barbie is an adorable, smart, playful and healthy terrier mix who loves toys, jumping and climbing (she may be less than a year old). However, she had a rough start in life and was rescued from a hoarding situation, so she trusts other dogs and is working on trusting people. At the hoarder, she was living in filth with about 100 other dogs in a single home. Since being rescued, she has been decompressing in her loving foster home with another senior dog. She makes a lot of eye contact, responds to verbal correction, and has been good about using puppy pads and going outside in an enclosed yard. However, Barbie does not yet trust people — she wants to, but it will take time and patience before she will let you get close. And so far, she has not submitted to being touched, picked up or hand-fed any treats. She would definitely do better with another playful dog to show her the ropes. Also, typical of terriers — she is an escape artist, climber and talker, though she does not bark incessantly — only enough to make sure you understand what she wants. She sleeps quietly through the night in her crate or pen and loves food, but she needs a human with experience with dogs who have not had much contact with people and needs training. Weight: 7-8 lbs
