Meet barbie
Barbie is an adorable, young, smart, playful and healthy terrier mix who loves toys, playing, and napping and has just discovered a love of pets and co-sleeping with her human (female) and foster sibling (female dog). However, she had a rough start in life and was rescued from a hoarding situation, so whoever adopts her will need to exercise time and patience to gain her trust as well. At the hoarder, she was living in filth with about 100 other dogs in a single home. Since being rescued, she has been decompressing in her loving foster home with a female human caretaker and some small doggie foster siblings. She will now snuggle and play with her foster dog sibling and come to her foster human for pets but is not a fan of being picked up or leashes. She is slowly opening up bit by bit and it is a beautiful journey to watch! She is also now fully potty trained with access to a yard. Her amazing foster has been working magic with her (really just patience, a quiet and calm environment, and small dog friends:) and she is now sleeping on the bed (sometimes under the covers right on top of her feet!), playing under the covers, and accepting gentle pets. She needs a human with experience with dogs, no small children, another small dog in the home, and someone - just one person - to be her hero and guide her to a lifetime of love.
