Prince is a lower-energy companion who would much rather cuddle on the couch than spend hours chasing toys. He enjoys being close to his people and thrives on companionship. In fact, being with his humans is what makes him feel safest and happiest.

Because of this, Prince is looking for a home where someone is around much of the day. He is currently struggling with separation anxiety, which may improve once he's settled into a stable home environment, but he will need an adopter who is patient, understanding, and committed to helping him build confidence. Apartment living may not be the best fit, as he can be quite vocal when feeling stressed.

Prince has overcome challenges before. He lost an eye after being bitten by another dog earlier in life, but it hasn't slowed him down one bit. These days, his permanent wink only adds to his charm and makes him even more unforgettable. He is also very food motivated, making him an excellent candidate for positive reinforcement training and continued confidence-building. He uses potty pads reliably and tries his best to hold it until he's let outside.

Prince does have some ongoing medical needs, including management of mild skin issues, treatment for anxiety, and a dental cleaning that will be needed in the near future. His future family should be prepared to continue his routine care to keep him happy and comfortable.
