Meet Ruby, a gorgeous girl who is ready to find a family of her own! She was sadly surrendered to the shelter on 5/23 when her family no longer had the time to care for her. Ruby's former family shared that she is house-trained, good with children, and gets along well with other dogs. Volunteers have found her to be friendly, well-mannered, and a pleasure to walk thanks to her excellent leash skills. She's also a smart girl who knows several commands, including "sit" and "paw."

As a shepherd-type dog, Ruby is intelligent, athletic, and eager to be part of the action. She will thrive with an active family that can provide the exercise, mental stimulation, and companionship she needs. In return, you'll gain a loyal, loving companion who is ready to be your best friend. Ruby is almost 2 years old, and weighs 76 lbs. She is UTD on vaccines, has been spayed, and did test negative for heartworms. She will be microchipped upon adoption. Ruby is waiting patiently in kennel 16; her ID # is 19238.
