Meet benjamin/benny
I rescued him privately a couple years back (2023) and he’s been glued to my hip since, he was originally an outside dog for my bosses daughter and her husband and they had him constantly locked up in a 6ftx10 outside kennel. It has been really hard to break his habit of wanting a confined space. He is indoors kennel trained and respects the “go to bed” command I love this dog with all my heart and I hate to see him go but I work 10 hour days and I’m not at my house frequently enough to be taking care of an animal.
Some things you have to know about him
He is really intelligent
He loveeeeesss deep ear scratches
He is a jumper and loves being pet up close and personal
He can only eat lamb and rice formula dog food, I’ve tried others and he got really sick
He isn’t malnourished but extremely skinny and lanky, the vet says it’s from lack of activity and being depressed from lack of affection.
He’s a really good dog and I don’t want him to go but I can’t take care of him anymore
