Meet amber
I adopted Amber from a rescue foster program 8 years ago. She's been a good and loving dog all these years. We decided to put her up for adoption following the birth of our child. She deserves more attention and to play freely but we haven't been able to give that to her with a new baby around.
She's 9 years old with the energy of a younger dog. She's goofy and loves to play. Her favorite toys are tennis balls and hedgehog squeaky toys. She loves attention, is very affectionate, loves to be close, and, if you let her, loves to sleep in bed with you.
She has general anxiety due to suspected abuse prior to her foster stay. She's on fluoxetine once a day to help with her anxiety and is given gabapentin for high stress situations like car rides and fireworks.
She doesn't like cats or dogs as she's had too many bad encounters with other dogs which has led to her dislike of them.
She would be happier/more comfortable in a quieter home with no kids or babies.
