Meet Jenny
At 71 pounds, Jenny may be one of the smaller dogs in giant breed rescue, but what she lacks in size she more than makes up for in personality. Jenny absolutely adores people —especially the men in her life—and approaches life with a cheerful enthusiasm that's impossible not to love. Whether you're cooking dinner, folding laundry, working in the yard, or simply walking from room to room, Jenny will happily be your biggest fan and most devoted assistant.
When it's time to relax, Jenny is just as content snoozing nearby, often accompanied by adorable snores that let you know she's fully settled in. Her favorite place is wherever her humans happen to be.
Jenny is dog-friendly and currently lives with an extra-large foster brother. She greets dogs of all sizes politely, walks calmly past barking dogs, and remains non-reactive during outings. While she would enjoy having a canine companion, she's equally happy being the center of attention in a home where she can soak up all the love for herself.
Jenny recently accompanied her foster family to a local farmer's market, where she quickly became a fan favorite. She calmly walked through the crowds, happily greeted both canine and human admirers, politely accepted attention, and even discovered which vendors happened to hand out dog treats. After her exciting outing, this little social butterfly came home, curled up nearby, and drifted off to sleep with her signature gentle snores.
This sweet girl is leash trained, crate trained, and settles quietly in her crate without barking or whining. She has had a few indoor accidents while learning her foster family's routine, but she does potty outside and continues to improve as she settles into a schedule. Jenny also enjoys being brushed and sits patiently through her grooming sessions because, as she seems to understand, beauty takes a little work. She even handles bath time like a champ, provided you don't mind the occasional dramatic post-bath shake. Jenny has also discovered that a little topper on her kibble makes dinnertime much more exciting, and she's happily working on gaining a few healthy pounds.
Like many happy dogs, Jenny can get a bit mouthy when she becomes overly excited during playtime, but she's already making great progress with gentle guidance. She's also an enthusiastic giver of kisses, which may just be her favorite way to show the people she loves how much they mean to her.
Jenny would be a wonderful match for a first-time giant breed owner. She doesn't require a fenced yard and is happy getting her exercise through walks and family activities. More than anything, Jenny is looking for a home where she can be included, loved, and appreciated for the affectionate, easygoing companion she is.
If you've ever wanted a loyal shadow, a professional cheerleader, and a best friend who thinks you're the most amazing person in the world, Jenny is ready to fill that role.
