Mustard is a sweet, handsome pup who is still learning that the world can be a safe and fun place. During his short break from the shelter, he made steady progress, showed off his gentle side, and gave us helpful insight into the kind of home where he can continue to build confidence. Here`s some notes from his recent time in foster:Mustard warmed up over a few days and became more comfortable as he settled in. By his last day, he was giving kisses and rolling over for tummy rubs. He slept near the foot of the bed and may prefer cooler spots because of his thick, soft coat. He turns heads on walks and gets plenty of compliments for his good looks. He was unsure about toys at first, then began to play as his confidence grew and left household items alone.V ery food motivated, which should help with training!After a few first-day accidents, he used washable pee pads right away and may already understand pee-pad routines and was picking up on house training quickly. Excellent in the car, but was nervous to get in and out of the car.Mustard would do best with patient adopters who can give him time to settle in, build confidence, and continue gentle, treat-based training. He may thrive in a calm, encouraging home that celebrates his progress, helps him feel safe with new experiences, and gives this sweet, handsome boy the love and consistency he deserves.
