Lily Girl has decompressed very well. She spent all of last night in her crate without crying, which is a vast improvement from when she had first arrived. She is also eating and drinking regularly now too. She enjoys a Greenie at the end of the night. She is walking very nicely on the leash too. She is not reactive to other dogs at all. She sees them as potential friends and is curious about them. She got to say hi to a neighbor dog through the fence this morning, from a safe distance. The neighbor dog was yapping at her, but Lily Girl just stood there with a bemused expression on her face. She also saw a neighborhood cat dark across her path in our courtyard this morning and it triggered a playful rush in our Lily Girl. She even picked up a small stick to carry in her mouth. I took it away from her though, with zero resistance. I'm also happy to report that she finally has figured out that peeing outside is good. She got lots of praise for doing it. She does well in the crate while I’m at the office and am happy to report that she had not made a peep even once. She's a very sweet girl. Lily Girl is initially a shy girl, but once she gets to know you and warms up to you, get ready for a tiny shadow following you around. She loves nothing more than to give you kisses all day long.
