Meet tucker
I adopted Tucker a month ago. He's 1.5 years. The owner surrendered him along with 11 other dogs, so he comes from a hoarding background. Within this month he has made progress in so many ways. He's more confident, he walks well on a leash, so far he's gotten along with everyone and anything he's encountered. He's cuddly, affectionate, and eager to please. The issue we've run into though is the severity of his separation anxiety. He has to be crated when left alone. The behaviorist recommended separation anxiety meds paired with training (only leaving for short periods of time and build up to leaving for longer periods of time). Unfortunately, my schedule does not allow me to only leave for short periods of time to work on this training. He needs someone, for example who works from home, retired, school teacher with the summer off, multiple people in the home, that has the time/flexibility to work on this training. Otherwise he’s a fantastic boy with so much love to offer!
