Meet Buffy — a 4-year-old Toy Poodle/Dachshund with a loving heart, a playful spirit, and a whole lot of personality packed into 11 tiny pounds. Buffy cam in unsocialized with people but quickly learning what it means to be a cherished companion in a safe and loving home. Like many poodles, she is smart, affectionate, energetic, and happiest close to her people — preferably in a lap whenever possible! Although, she does love being in her crate as well and will sleep all night in it. She’s making wonderful progress every day with the help of her foster mom and an amazing companion dog who is showing her the ropes of normal dog life. Buffy is discovering toys, routines, trust, and all the little joys that come with being part of a family. She will thrive with patient adopters who understand that rescued dogs need time, encouragement, and love to fully blossom and trust their people. In return, Buffy offers endless affection, loyalty, and plenty of poodle charm. All of our animals are in volunteer foster homes. Once an application is pre-approved (contingent upon a home check) we will contact applicants that are a good match and set up a time for a meet. At that time we are happy to answer all of your questions. No inquiries prior to that please. All of our animals are spayed/neutered, examined by a vet, up-to-date on vaccinations, on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchipped. We adopt our animals as strictly inside companion pets. We will do a veterinarian reference check and a home safety check. We are located in Omaha, NE and we do not ship our animals. We are all volunteers so please be patient with us. Our requested adoption fees help go towards medical expenses, food, transportation, toys, and other supplies for our animals.
