Meet Hopscotch & Tootsie!
Hopscotch and Tootsie are a bonded pair of senior Dachshunds who are looking for a forever home together. Hopscotch is an 11-year-old, 13-pound black and tan piebald, and Tootsie is a 10-year-old, 13-pound chocolate long-haired Dachshund. Rescued alongside 40 other Dachshunds from a home with more than 60 dogs, these best friends are finally getting the chance to experience life as beloved family members.
These girls are as sweet as they come. Their tails are constantly wagging when they see people, and they absolutely love affection. Whether you're sitting on the couch, relaxing in the grass, or enjoying a picnic, they'll happily come over to say hello and soak up some attention. Tootsie especially loves rolling onto her back in hopes of earning a belly rub.
Hopscotch and Tootsie share everything—including meals, cozy beds, and plenty of love. They are happiest together and have a beautiful bond that is impossible to miss. They enjoy spending time outdoors, sniffing around the yard, feeling the grass beneath their paws, and soaking up the sunshine. Both walk nicely on leash and handle new experiences with surprising confidence.
These easygoing seniors are house trained, puppy pad trained, travel well, and rarely bark. They don't seem particularly interested in toys or treats, preferring soft blankets, comfy beds, and quality time with their people. Tootsie especially loves burrowing under blankets for a cozy nap.
After spending years as two of more than 60 dogs, Hopscotch and Tootsie have remained incredibly loving, trusting, and resilient. They are now looking for a family willing to open their home to both of them and give them the happy retirement they deserve.
