Meet Bear! He’s a 3-year-old neutered male mixed breed weighing 65 lbs who arrived at the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 5/5. This sweet, handsome boy has stunning golden eyes and dreams of being a couch potato. While he may not show well from his kennel window, take him for a walk and you’ll see his charm. He walks nicely on a leash, loves exploring scents, and though toys don’t interest him, gentle face pets will make him your instant best friend. Bear takes treats gently and isn’t bothered by other dogs barking. If you have another dog, please request a dog test at the shelter. He’s hopeful his forever family will come meet him and see he’d be a perfect fit — enjoying a secure yard to play in but living indoors, close to his human companions. Come meet Bear!
