Meet Sal.
If your dream dog is the kind that wants to be attached to your side at all times, Sal would like to submit his application immediately.
This sweet little Chihuahua mix is around 8 years old and fully committed to a quiet life filled with cuddles, soft voices, and being held like a baby. Sal loves people deeply and would happily spend 24/7 curled up beside you, resting his head against your neck and reminding you that personal space is overrated.
The world can feel a little overwhelming for him sometimes. Loud noises and unfamiliar situations make him nervous, and he responds by becoming extra clingy and submissive. But once he feels safe, his personality shines through in the gentlest ways — rolling over for what his foster calls “tummy tax,” standing up on his hind legs when he wants your attention, and quietly following you from room to room just to be near you.
Sal has low energy, some mild vision changes, and a little trouble with stairs, so he’s looking for a calm home where life moves at a softer pace. He’s not leash trained yet and would do best with a fenced yard or someone willing to help him build confidence slowly.
More than anything, Sal just wants someone to love. Someone patient, kind, and home enough to give him the closeness he craves. He may be small, but the amount of devotion packed into this tiny dog is enormous.
