Meet koda
Meet Koda – The Sweetest Little Adventure BuddyKoda is a petite 9-year-old Border Collie weighing just 31 pounds, and she is the perfect mix of cuddly companion and weekend adventure partner. With her soft coat, gentle eyes, and sweet, submissive personality, Koda has a way of quietly stealing hearts wherever she goes. She absolutely loves people and wants nothing more than to be close to her person. Koda will happily lay at your feet all day, snuggle up close to you, and gently rest her head on you while you relax. She may give a few alert barks when meeting someone new, but she warms up quickly and becomes everyone’s friend in no time. Koda is house-trained with access to a dog door, rides wonderfully in the car, and has lovely manners around the house. She sleeps peacefully through the night, plays appropriately with her toys, and hasn’t shown any destructive behaviors. She’s incredibly attentive, smart, and treat-motivated, making her fun to work with and eager to learn. While she’s lower energy overall, Koda still enjoys walks, hikes, car rides, and chasing balls or sticks around the yard. She’s happiest when she’s included in whatever you’re doing—whether that’s lounging at home during the week or heading out on a weekend adventure. A fenced yard where she can relax in the sunshine would make her especially happy.Koda can initially feel overwhelmed around unfamiliar dogs and may need slow introductions, but once comfortable, she becomes playful, respectful, and friendly. She would likely thrive as an only pet where she can soak up all the attention, though she could also live successfully with another calm dog in a dog-savvy home. She is even good with chickens! Because Koda didn’t get out much in her previous home due to her owner’s illness, she’s still discovering the world around her. The wonderful thing is—she’s loving every new experience. She just needs a patient person who understands that sensitive, intelligent Border Collies sometimes need a little reassurance while learning new things.Koda is truly a special girl: affectionate, gentle, attentive, and endlessly loyal. If you’re looking for a devoted companion who will happily join you on adventures and then curl up right beside you at the end of the day, Koda may just be your perfect match.Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis.
