Meet Gertrude, our tiny but mighty survivor đź’›
At just 9 months old and a mere 4 pounds, Gertrude is a mini Poodle/Shih Tzu mix with a story that could melt anyone’s heart. She came to one of our veterinary partners in very rough shape, bravely fighting (and beating!) parvo. Thanks to a lot of care, love, and her own incredible spirit, this little girl is now on the road to a bright, happy future.
Gertrude is as sweet as they come, gentle, affectionate, and always ready for a cuddle. She gets along well with other dogs and is currently working on her potty training like a champ. She’s still gaining weight and growing stronger every day, and we expect her to be around 7-8 pounds when fully healthy.
Because she’s so small and still building her strength, Gertrude will need a patient, attentive home committed to helping her continue to thrive. In return, she’ll give you endless love, soft snuggles, and the kind of loyalty only a true survivor can offer.
