Meet Sherry - a smart, spirited red tri Australian Shepherd with a big personality and an even bigger love for play!
At around 3 years old, Sherry is in her prime. She knows how to sit and shake, walks well on and off leash, and is always ready for her next adventure. Whether it's a game of fetch, a round of tug-of-war, or a ride in the car, Sherry is happiest when she is on the move and having fun.
Sherry is a confident girl who likes to be in charge, so she's looking for a home where she can be the boss. She will do best as tghe dominant dog in the household and pairs better with dogs her size or larger who respect her space and leadership style. She's curious about cats but has shown that she can coexist peacefully without bothering them.
True to her breed, she loves to observe the world around her - farm animals like goats, chickens, and pigs are endlessly fascinating to her and she could spend hours watching them. After a day of activity she enjoys some cuddle time, though she prefers affection on her own terms rather than constant attention.
Sherry is heartworm positive but is on the path to recovery. She has begun her treatment but needs a local adopter so our FOR vet can see her through it.
