Meet Persia 🐾
When Persia first arrived at the county shelter, her body was covered in lumps and she was believed to be a hospice case. The expectation was simple: keep her comfortable for whatever time she had left. Many of those lumps were removed, and while some have since grown back, Persia hasn’t let that slow her down one bit. Nearly two years later, this resilient girl is still here—still wagging, still loving life, and still proving everyone wrong.
Now a true super senior (her exact age is a mystery), Persia is looking for something a little different… a forever foster home. That means the rescue will continue to cover all of her food, medical care, and any needs she may have—you just open your home and heart to her.
At around 70 lbs, Persia is a gentle, easygoing companion. She’s dog-friendly, cat-friendly, and happiest living the simple life: long naps, cozy spots, and short, leisurely walks. She doesn’t ask for much—just comfort, kindness, and someone to love her for however long she has left.
Persia may have once been counted out, but she’s still here for a reason. Maybe that reason is you.
