Meet sonny
Sonny the Catahoula.I am a disabled vet & rescued Sonny in 2021 at the age of approximately 1 year old from Dr. Doolittle's Rescue out of McAllen, TX. He is a great, but very active dog. We enjoy boring walks together and playing ball fetch in one of the fenced-in ball fields in the park near my home. I have worked with 2 trainers and Sonny responds well in most cases. I live on a two acre property and planned to put a fence around it, but due to the class of stream that runs through the it, that cannot be done. I have to put Sonny on a lead and/or 150' cable run. A County 45 MPH road runs adjacent to my property and Sonny has gotten out a few times & with his very high prey drive and when he on something, he doesn't respond well. He had chased prey across that county road a few times narrowly missing being stuck by a car. Sonny needs a more remote forever home or farm where he can run free and not risk getting hit by an automobile or a large fencing in yard. Sonny loves to be outside!
