Meet athena
Athena is a 4 year old female GSP looking for her forever home. About 52-54 lbs right now (a little overweight IMO). Received all vaccinations 4/29, is heartworm negative, and has started a monthly preventative.
Athena was originally rescued from Laredo and briefly stayed in San Marcos before coming to us. Unfortunately, we’re unable to keep her, but we’re committed to finding her a great home.
She is housebroken, crate trained, and has excellent house manners. She loves to cuddle. Athena is friendly with people, dogs, and cats. She is quite independent for a GSP; she will dribble and chase balls on her own or entertain herself by tossing around her stuffed toys. Very sweet girl. Did great with nail dremeling, ear cleaning, and toothbrushing.
Would benefit from some leash training. Has mild stiffness in her hind legs and can be a bit slow to sit or lie down at times, but she remains active and does not show signs of pain or limping.
