Meet wallace
Wallace is a 10-year-old Golden Retriever mix, a bit smaller than the purebred Goldens many people are familiar with. We adopted him three years ago from a home in West Virginia. At that time, he had been on anxiety medication and was surrendered due to concerns about his comfort around a soon-to-arrive baby.When Wallace first joined our family, he was a little nervous and unsure about affection. With time, patience, and a stable environment, he has truly come out of his shell. Today, he has grown into a sweet companion who will happily come over to ask for pets and enjoy being close to his people.Wallace can be vocal at times and will bark, especially when he sees another dog on the street. He doesn’t do well in high-energy environments like dog parks, and for that reason we’ve avoided them. However, he has had positive interactions with other Golden Retrievers and a few carefully selected dogs, showing that with the right match and introductions, he can enjoy canine company.
