Meet zeppelin
Zeppelin is a dog who takes a little time to figure out the world around him, but once he does, there is a playful and affectionate side waiting underneath all that intensity. Outside of the kennel, after he has a chance to burn off some energy and settle in, he has shown loose tail wags, sought out affection, and happily played chase in the yard. He follows his people around, checks in for reassurance, and has moments where his softer personality really starts to shine through. There is a smart, active dog in there who seems to want connection, even if he is still learning how to navigate stressful situations.
Shelter life has clearly been overwhelming for Zeppelin, especially around other dogs and in busy kennel areas where he becomes highly reactive and overstimulated. Once given space away from all the noise and pressure, though, he relaxes considerably and becomes much easier to engage with. Zeppelin will likely do best with an adopter who understands that he needs structure, patience, and thoughtful introductions while he continues learning how to feel safe and regulated. For the right person, helping a dog like Zeppelin decompress and discover stability could be incredibly rewarding. Underneath the stress, he is showing all the signs of a dog who wants to trust and be part of someone’s life.
