Meet cissie

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Cissy.  She is incredibly sweet and just wants to feel safe and loved. She can be a little shy at first and is still building her confidence, but she warms up with patience and a calm environment. She does really well with other animals and actually seems to take comfort in them—she enjoys being around other dogs (big and small) and is respectful of cats. She’s even learning boundaries with chickens and responds well to gentle correction. She may get a little nervous with sudden movements or new situations, but she’s already showing progress and continues to improve each day. She also knows where her safe space is and will come when called, which is a great sign. Like many dogs adjusting to a new environment, she has some mild separation anxiety, but she’s already making strides with consistency and support (including medication). She has settled in nicely and is doing much better than when she first arrived. With a little patience and a lot of love, she is going to make a wonderful companion.
