Meet Daphne!

Daphne is a sweet 4-year-old Chihuahua mix weighing just 17 pounds. She is up to date on all vaccinations and has been spayed, so she's ready to find her forever home.

Daphne came to our rescue from a high-kill shelter, where she was extremely shut down and frightened of human touch. Since then, she has made incredible progress in her foster home. She now happily follows her foster family from room to room, loves to cuddle, and is discovering that people can be kind and safe.

While Daphne isn't quite ready to walk on a leash yet, she continues to gain confidence every day. Her journey has been remarkable, and with patience, love, and a gentle routine, she will continue to blossom.

Daphne is looking for a calm, understanding home that will celebrate every milestone, no matter how small. Watching this once-frightened girl learn to trust has been incredibly rewarding, and her future family will have the privilege of seeing her confidence grow even more.

Adoption Process

Application Submission – Start by completing our adoption application on our website.

Background Check – We review applications and conduct a background check.

Meet and Greet – Approved applicants are invited to meet the pet and given a day or two to think about the adoption before making their decision.

Adoption Agreement, Fee, Photo – If it’s a good fit, you’ll complete an adoption contract and submit the adoption fee and a photo of you and your new family member.

Home Check – We require a quick home check to ensure a safe environment.

10-Day Trial Adoption – Take your new pet home for a 10-day trial period to make sure it’s the right match.
