Meet our sweet tripod, Reggie!
When Reggie was a puppy, he was hit by a car. Instead of getting help, he was thrown in a cage and left there — leg shattered, no pain relief, no comfort. Just suffering. By the time someone brought him to a vet, it was too late to save the leg. It had to be removed. But Reggie didn't lose his spirit. He healed. He learned to walk, run, and love again — on three legs. And eventually, he found his person. The one who showed him what home was supposed to feel like.
For years, Reggie had exactly that. A home. A person. Safety. Then his dad was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. The illness was fast and devastating. And just like that, everything Reggie knew was gone.
Reggie doesn't need to be managed. He needs to be loved. This is how good dogs get lost in the shuffle. Not because they've done anything wrong. Not because they have nothing left to give. But because life gets too heavy for the people around them.
