Meet bernie
Bernie is a 1.5yo Catahoula-mix (60lb) who is incredibly loving, loyal, & well-trained. He’s healthy, neutered, crate and potty trained, & has worked consistently with a professional trainer on a strong obedience foundation and excellent recall.He loves playing tug, going for car rides, and napping in the sun, and after daily exercise knows how to settle and be a calm companion. He’s social and friendly outside the home and thrives with structure.Unfortunately, Bernie can become over-aroused when guests enter (jumping, vocalization, mouthiness). He has never bitten or injured anyone, but requires slow, structured introductions and an experienced owner who can confidently manage those moments.With a newborn arriving, we can no longer safely manage his needs long-term. Our trainer believes he would thrive in the right environment with experienced owners, and we are trying to avoid a shelter setting due to stress risk.We can provide transport & extended resources for ongoing training.
