Meet Copper!Copper is an 8-month-old pup who’s already overcome more than most. After spending the first part of his life confined to a small cage, he’s now learning what it truly means to be safe, loved, and part of a family.He absolutely loves people—seriously, all the pets and cuddles please. Copper is incredibly sweet with humans and forms strong, loyal bonds with his person. He’s crate trained and very smart, already picking up on basic commands and learning how to walk on a leash.Copper gets along with many dogs but can be selective, so proper introductions are important. He does great with cats and kittens. Because of his past, loud voices, yelling, or sudden movements can make him nervous, so he would do best in a calm, patient home that can help him continue to build confidence.He also really loves his food—sometimes a little too much.
