Meet Lalla: A Gentle, Soft Soul Looking for a Forever Home!

At 2 years old and 45lbs, Lalla was pulled from a shelter alongside five other dogs just before facing euthanasia. This soft and sensitive shepherd gal struggled with the stress of the shelter, but has since gotten the chance to decompress and experience the calm consistency of a safe and loving home environment.

In a foster home, Lalla slowly comes out of her shell and her sweet personality emerges with patience and consistency. She is fostered in a home with other dogs and does well with them, becoming more playful with time. She bonds with her people over time as well and enjoys affection once she feels comfortable. Lalla is crate trained, house trained, and walks nicely on leash. We believe she would also do well in a home with cats. It is so rewarding to see her sweet and soulful personality appear as she builds confidence and trust at her own pace.

Lalla would do best in a calm, adult-only home with someone who is willing to give her the time, structure, and consistency she needs to feel secure. A home with another confident dog could help her continue to grow, though it’s not required. She’s a medium-energy dog who will enjoy a balance of gentle activity and plenty of downtime as she settles in. Lalla has lots of experience doing pack hikes and would love a family that will take her on outdoor outings.
