Hello, my name is Bewley!

I’m on the lookout for a family to love me and sow me what having a REAL home feels like. I think that could be YOU, don’t you too? I was one for four puppies plus my mom and dad who were found dumped on the streets for Fort Coffee, Arkansas. Ever since, we have been living in a barn-kennel situation at the farm, just waiting to be adopted and to enjoy the comforts of a real home.

I am a very handsome and lovable male chocolate Hound/Lab mix. It is thought that I was born around 3/29/23! I'm neutered, heartworm negative and UTD on vaccines and preventatives. Oh… and I weigh around 43 pounds – the perfect not-too-big, not-too small size!

I've been great around the dogs here and I LOVE to play with them. I am playful and have lots of energy so if you have a yard for me to play in, that would be GREAT! They tell me that I’m very smart so I’d love it if you’d teach me some tricks. I should learn them very quickly.

Currently this sweet baby is with our rescue, The Artemis Project, in Arkansas.

We DO, however, transport monthly to the metro Detroit area of MI. Because we’re able to transport, we ARE able to accept adoption applications directly from residents of MI.

Why do we transport? Because animal overpopulation is severe in our region, and stray and unwanted dogs have very little chance of finding a home here. These babies are, however, at a high risk of being neglected, abused, abandoned, euthanized or even shot (it’s “the way things are done” for some people down here). YOU are truly one of the only safe and happy endings for the lucky ones we are able to rescue.

Upon approval of your adoption application, we will then transport your new furbaby to you in the metro Detroit area for just a small travel expense fee of $50 in addition to the adoption fee.

Before we can change your new furbaby’s status from "adoptable" to "adoption pending," the $50 transport fee must be paid to secure the adoption. At that time, we will stop accepting applications.

The entire adoption fee must be paid prior to the transport in order to ensure your new baby has a spot on the transport.
