This handsome boy is Dobbie
Dobbie is an amazingly sweet Mountain Cur mix who was born around 6/28/25. He is the perfect age to be able to continue to learn, live, and provide laughs for years to come! If you just give him a chance, he’ll become the bestest friend you’ll ever have. He’s desperately searching for a forever home, full of playfulness, snuggles, and loads of love.
* He is super friendly
* He is heartworm negative
* He weighs about 30 pounds
* He is UTD on his vaccines and preventatives
* He simply can’t wait to meet YOU!!
Are you looking for a loyal companion to fit right in with your family? Blackbeard is your guy! All he asks for is a stable home with a loving family. He simply needs someone to open their home to him so he can steal their heart. Could you be that someone?
Currently this sweet baby is with our rescue, The Artemis Project, in Arkansas.
We DO, however, transport monthly to the metro Detroit area of MI. Because we’re able to transport, we ARE able to accept adoption applications directly from residents of MI.
Why do we transport? Because animal overpopulation is severe in our region, and stray and unwanted dogs have very little chance of finding a home here. These babies are, however, at a high risk of being neglected, abused, abandoned, euthanized or even shot (it’s “the way things are done” for some people down here). YOU are truly one of the only safe and happy endings for the lucky ones we are able to rescue.
Upon approval of your adoption application, we will then transport your new furbaby to you in the metro Detroit area for just a small travel expense fee of $50 in addition to the adoption fee.

Before we can change your new furbaby’s status from "adoptable" to "adoption pending," the $50 transport fee must be paid to secure the adoption. At that time, we will stop accepting applications.
The entire adoption fee must be paid prior to the transport in order to ensure your new baby has a spot on the transport.
