spike

Royal Oak, MI

Meet spike

This is Spike.
He’s a Lab mix, born around 4/5/25. This beautiful boy already weighs in at 60 pounds of pure puppy potential. He’s currently sitting in a pound when he should be learning what being a pet means.

* Heartworm negative
* UTD on vaccines and preventatives
* House trained AND crate trained
* Big, handsome Lab mix
* Super smart (seriously, he catches on FAST!)
* Loves to play and has LOTS of energy
* Puppy brain + growing body
* Ready for structure, training, and adventure
* Will thrive with someone who wants a loyal, active companion

He’s a fun-loving, high-energy pup who will thrive with an active family and a yard to run and play in 🐾
If you’re looking for a smart, playful companion to keep up with your adventures, this sweet boy might just be your perfect match

What he needs right now is YOU!! Please consider giving this young boy the future he deserves. Spike is ready to walk out of the pound and into his next chapter. All that’s missing is you.

Currently this sweet baby is with our rescue, The Artemis Project, in Arkansas.

We DO, however, transport monthly to the metro Detroit area of MI. Because we’re able to transport, we ARE able to accept adoption applications directly from residents of MI.

Why do we transport? Because animal overpopulation is severe in our region, and stray and unwanted dogs have very little chance of finding a home here. These babies are, however, at a high risk of being neglected, abused, abandoned, euthanized or even shot (it’s “the way things are done” for some people down here). YOU are truly one of the only safe and happy endings for the lucky ones we are able to rescue.

Upon approval of your adoption application, we will then transport your new furbaby to you in the metro Detroit area for just a small travel expense fee of $50 in addition to the adoption fee.

MICHIGAN RESIDENTS—>PLEASE CLICK THE LINK BELOW TO FILL OUT THE ADOPTION APPLICATION:

Before we can change your new furbaby’s status from "adoptable" to "adoption pending," the $50 transport fee must be paid to secure the adoption. At that time, we will stop accepting applications.

The entire adoption fee must be paid prior to the transport in order to ensure your new baby has a spot on the transport.

Thank you SO MUCH for giving a homeless Arkansas pup a chance at a real life with a family of their very own!
