Hi! I’m Tango
I’m a very handsome male Lab mix who gives the bestest pupper-hugs you'll ever see!! I’m a sweet and loyal boy who I can’t wait to dance my way into your heart! They tell me that I’m calm, gentle, and affectionate. I know I’m an A+ snuggler who loves to be in your lap. I’ll gladly take all the attention you can give and I love treats and going on walks.

I was found as a stray, but you’d never know it by how loving and friendly I am. I was born around 5/23/23 so I’m still a young boy. I love playing with other dogs and going for long walks, where I can show off how great I walk on a leash. But… I’m pretty darned good off-leash too. I come running to you the moment I hear you call me. Oh... I love other dogs too! And… the icing on the cake?? I’m great with kids and fully potty trained!

My foster mom says this about me:
Tango is the perfect package of perfection – he’s great with kids, potty trained/doggy door, good on a leash, gentle and affectionate, an A+ snuggler who thinks he’s a lap dog, loves treats, walks, car rides and all the attention you can give! Though he’s house-trained, Tango currently lives outside at his foster’s home—not by choice, but because the family dogs aren’t ready to share their space. What this sweet boy really dreams of is a forever home with a couch, a family, and lots of love. Tango is ready to melt into your arms, make you laugh with his silly grin, and be your most loyal companion. Adopt Tango and gain a calm, loving best friend.

I weigh 53 pounds, am heartworm negative, up to date on my vaccines, and taking all my preventatives too. So I’m more than ready to meet my person or my family. I’m SO ready for a fresh start. I will make a loyal and joyful addition to your life.

Currently this sweet baby is with our rescue, The Artemis Project, in Arkansas.

We DO, however, transport monthly to the metro Detroit area of MI. Because we’re able to transport, we ARE able to accept adoption applications directly from residents of MI.

Why do we transport? Because animal overpopulation is severe in our region, and stray and unwanted dogs have very little chance of finding a home here. These babies are, however, at a high risk of being neglected, abused, abandoned, euthanized or even shot (it’s “the way things are done” for some people down here). YOU are truly one of the only safe and happy endings for the lucky ones we are able to rescue.

Upon approval of your adoption application, we will then transport your new furbaby to you in the metro Detroit area for just a small travel expense fee of $50 in addition to the adoption fee.

Before we can change your new furbaby’s status from "adoptable" to "adoption pending," the $50 transport fee must be paid to secure the adoption. At that time, we will stop accepting applications.

The entire adoption fee must be paid prior to the transport in order to ensure your new baby has a spot on the transport.
