Maggie Mae ?? Hi, my name is Maggie Mae! I am a petite, special needs 2-year-old Shih Tzu girl with a big heart and an even bigger personality.At the end of April, I was sadly hit by a car and lost one of my front legs. But don’t let that fool you—I get around really well and I’m still full of life! I may need a little help with steps while I figure them out, but once I do, I manage just fine. I can still run, play, and keep up with the best of them.I love wearing little t-shirts, snuggling up close with my people, and giving lots of kisses. I’m also a big fan of squeaky toys, car rides, and resting my head on your shoulder. I don’t mind being carried either—honestly, I kind of love it. I also enjoy walks and prefer a stroller for longer outings so I can still be part of the fun without getting too tired.I get along well with other small dogs like me, but I am not a fan of cats. I am doing very well with my housetraining and I’m not a picky eater at all—I love my food!I do have a medical need called dry eye, which means I need eye drops in both eyes twice a day to keep them comfortable and healthy. With my care routine, I do very well and feel much better.If you’re looking for a loving, affectionate little companion who will stick by your side through everything, I might just be your perfect match.
