Miss May is a very nice senior dog looking for a family who is as gentle and sweet as she is. She's bonded with Paris and they are hoping to go home together. She may not have sight, but she sees the world through love and snuggles. Despite being blind, May navigates life with confidence, and her keen senses of smell and hearing help her get around. She doesn’t mind being helped around by being scooped up and has been described as “swimming through the air” as you carry her around.
May can be shy at first, so she’ll do best in a home with another dog for her to befriend and show her the ropes. Her new people should also be patient as she acclimates at her own pace, especially since she can't see. She may not be ready for cuddles on day one, but with time, she’ll open up and be ready for affection and snuggles. She's such a sweetheart!
Paris and May are an inseparable dog duet ready to bring twice the love to their family. Paris has helped May a lot with her confidence, and they do everything together! Here's what their foster has to say:
"She’s cautious and the quietest doggie ever (has not barked once!) and while timid in the beginning now, May not only comes for pets but loves to be held and will sit on your lap for as long as you are willing. Plus she loves food too!"
