Meet Tulip! This lovely girl has just begun her new chapter after being retired from a puppy mill—and now it’s finally her turn to be someone’s cherished companion. Tulip is 2 years old and currently a bit overweight, so she’ll benefit from regular exercise and a healthy, structured diet. Like many dogs from puppy mill backgrounds, she hasn’t had the chance to learn the basics of home life yet. She’ll need a patient, understanding adopter who is willing to guide her as she learns to trust, explore, and blossom into the loving dog she was always meant to be. Because Tulip is not leash-trained and may be a flight risk, a secure fenced yard is required to keep her safe while she gains confidence. It is also necessary for the home to have another dog who can serve as a `mentor` for Tulip in learning how to trust people and how to be a family pet. With time, love, and consistency, Tulip has so much potential to become a devoted and wonderful companion.
