💛 Personality & Lifestyle:
Astrid is a livestock guardian breed mix with a true pet personality: friendly, affectionate, and enjoys being around her people 💛

She can be a bit reserved at first (typical for her breed), but warms up quickly with a proper introduction. She also recently attended a car show and did great in that environment (calm, observant, and well-behaved). 🚗🐾

She’s not overly vocal and does extremely well on a leash.

🚧 Exercise & Containment Needs (Important):
ETA: after ~1 month of runner/tie-out only outdoor time, she can safely be off leash in the fenced in yard with no risk of flight. From what we have figured out, she needs doggy friends, she is fully comfortable with, and lots of room to run in her fenced in space, and she stays content and doesnt climb!

Astrid needs more than minimal exercise, and her needs can be met in one of two ways:
• A secure runner/long line setup (she currently does great on a 100’ runner - this is very affordable running less than $50), OR
• A very active home committed to frequent, consistent leash walks and structured outdoor time

🚫 Containment Reality:
She is an escape artist and cannot be reliably contained by traditional fencing (height, rollers, and hot wire have not worked).

🚫 Off-leash reliability:
Astrid will never be reliable off-leash. This is a breed trait and not something that can be trained out.
• She cannot be trusted loose, even if bonded
• She is not a fit for homes where doors may accidentally be left open

📩 Interested?
Message or email and include Astrid’s name (we have multiple animals available).

📋 Adoption requirements:
• Application & contract required

🐾 Astrid needs a home that understands her breed traits and can provide safe structure and consistency—and she’ll give you a loyal, loving companion in return 💛
