Meet bernard lexington

What’s better than one lab? Two, of course! Meet Albert and Bernard, a bonded pair of 7.5-year-olds (our foster parents think we’re actually closer to 6-years-old based on our personalities and energy levels)! These 70ish pound sweethearts are ready to fill your home (and your couch!) with twice the love, twice the loyalty, and twice the tail wags.

These handsome boys are the total package – vaccinated, neutered, house-trained, and crate-trained (though honestly, they’re such good boys we trust them to roam freely – unless there is food for the taking)! They’re currently undergoing treatment for heartworms, but don’t let that fool you – their spirits are high, their personalities shine, and they are such happy boys its’ impossible for their joy to not be contagious.
*Bernard has completed his heartworm treatment*

Albert is your classic cuddle bug. Big in size but bigger in heart, he has absolutely no concept of personal space – and that’s how he (and us) like it. If you’re sitting, he’s sitting on you (or at least as close as physically possible. He lives for affection and will happily soak up every ounce of love you give.

Bernard is a gentle soul with a slightly shy side. He may take a minute to warm up, but once he does – and especially when he sees Albert getting all the love – he gains confidence and melts into a total sweetheart.

Together, they’re the perfect balance. They enjoy a good walk or a long game of fetch, but they happily settle when you need to get things done. And if you’ve ever wanted loyal companions who follow you everywhere… congratulations! With Albert and Bernard, you’ve found your shadows! They are very food motivated too, so training them is super easy! The boys already know “sit”, and are now working on learning “down” and “shake”.

They’ve done great meeting other dogs on walks, and we’ve only heard them bark when they’re eager to make new dog friends who are across the street. They love meeting new people and have had positive interactions with kids. Cats are still a mystery because we don’t have any to introduce them to!

Albert and Bernard are looking for a forever home where they can stay together. Their bond is unbreakable, and honestly, why would you want just one when you can have both? Meet Albert and Bernard for a chance of a lifetime of love, laughter, and double the snuggles. See more photos of them on Instagram @fosterwithkandg
