I’m a 3-year-old Dachshund/Terrier mix, professionally trained in following my humans from room to room and conducting important neighborhood inspections. At the perfect portable size, I’m basically the canine version of carry-on luggage—ready for road trips, errands, adventures, and any mission that involves snacks.

I’m a sweet guy with a curious little brain and just enough energy to keep life interesting. I love walks, yard patrols, and investigating every blade of grass like I’m solving a mystery. If you need a sidekick, I’m already three steps behind you making sure you don’t wander off without me.

Now, I do have one slightly embarrassing hobby: leaving my signature in places I probably shouldn’t. Look, a lot of dogs have passed through my foster home, and somebody has to make sure history remembers I was here. The humans call it "marking." I call it interior decorating. Thankfully, I’ve been improving every day, and I wear my fashionable belly band when unsupervised like the confident trendsetter I am.

When adventure time is over, I transform into a world-class cuddle expert. I love snuggling on the couch, sleeping through the night, and keeping my crate clean. Although between us, if you offered me a spot in your bed, I wouldn’t exactly file a complaint.

I get along great with the small dogs in my foster home, but I’d also be perfectly happy soaking up all the attention as your one and only. I’ve done well with kids, though I can get a little mouthy during playtime. Nothing serious — I just occasionally forget that human fingers aren’t chew toys. Older kids who understand my goofy ways would be best.

I’m not a huge barker, but I do believe every delivery driver deserves a formal announcement of their arrival. I may also join the neighborhood dog choir if everyone else starts singing. Team spirit matters.

Because I love my people so much, I’d thrive with a family that’s home more often than not. I’m still learning the rules of house life and will do best with humans who can continue teaching me good manners, giving me daily exercise, and helping me channel my curiosity into productive activities instead of unauthorized home inspections.

One more thing: I’m currently going through heartworm treatment and doing great on my road to recovery. My foster mom can tell you all about it.

This pet is currently undergoing treatment for heartworm disease. Activity must be restricted for several weeks during recovery. RSR will cover the full cost of treatment. RSR will provide heartworm preventatives until the retest is due. The adopter will be responsible for scheduling the retest and obtaining any follow-up prescriptions through their veterinarian.
