  Joshua may be small—just 10 pounds—but his story and his heart are anything but. At only 7–12 months old, this adorable Schnauzer mix has already been shuffled from home to home, never quite getting the chance to settle in and just be someone’s dog. Still, he greets each new day with love, as if he believes the right person is just around the corner. He is incredibly affectionate in the most endearing way. Joshua will happily climb onto your shoulders, press his face into your neck, and soak in every ounce of comfort he can find. It’s his way of holding on—of hoping this time, it lasts. He’s expected to stay a small boy, likely under 15 pounds, making him an easy fit for many homes and lifestyles. Joshua is doing wonderfully in his foster home, where he’s learning routines, building confidence, and enjoying playtime with other small dogs. He’s good on a leash, rides beautifully in the car, and truly enjoys being included in everyday life. Whether it’s a walk, an errand, or just relaxing together, Joshua is happiest when he’s with his person. His foster home is meant to be his last stop before finding the forever he’s been waiting for.
