Meet amelia

Are you looking for a sweet and happy girl to join your household and bring plenty of sunshine and good cheer to every dog, cat and human she meets? Then Amelia is the perfect pet for you. She is a 1-and-a-half-year-old, 50-pound Terrier/mixed breed canine with a regal bearing that says take my photo and hang it up on the wall.Amelia was facing euthanasia due to space limitations in shelter, but the staff was so in love with her that they went above and beyond to find her a foster home where she could be the life of the party with both dogs and cats. Amelia even had a job in the shelter, being the new dog tester because she gets along with every dog she meets. Amelia has put her time in shelter and foster care to excellent use as she is house and crate trained. She continues to work on her leash skills. Amelia may have some accidents as she adjusts to a new home and routine, as it is common for rescue dogs to take a bit of time to adjust to their new surroundings and schedules. If crate usage is planned, Amelia requires a crate big enough for her to stand and turn around in as well as lie down comfortably. Crates should be cozy, happy places for dogs to hang out and must never be used for punishment. Amelia has gotten a new lease on life because she is a very special girl who is all about sharing her playful personality and sweet temper with everyone so if that is the canine companion you seek, your search is done.* When considering adoption, keep in mind that dogs thrive on structure and routine. They adjust much better when their owners are committed to providing consistency and stability. The adoption fee for Amelia is $500. That includes the cost of spaying/neutering, up to date vaccinations, foster care, rescue and transportation fees. To get the ball rolling, head over to our Adoption Application and submit your application today. A Dog Star representative will contact you within 24 hours.
